My Sanity Thy

Thought I had seen him

Streaking through the dim-lit alleyways

Of my subconscious

Him, with his bedazzled pretense

Sprinting forward- smiling deceit

Thought I had seen him

Offering twisted, unrealistic charm

To many an unsuspecting intellect

Him, who penetrates a perfect psyche

Thought I had seen him

Injecting poisonous saps

Into the back of a well-rounded being

Too late- the fallen

And him, whilst imparting dreaded theories,

Leaves in his trail a twisted, confused state

Him, who whilst in his miserable glory,

Is nothing but the other side of sanity- HIMSELF!
